Close your eyes. Cover your ears. Imagine trying to understand the world. 11 year old Lauren is growing up in Kingwood, Texas and she is deafblind. She needs help learning how to communicate and access the world around her. There is a solution. The world can be explained through an interveners hands. Laurens intervener costs her family $1000 a week and is sustained by fundraisers and donations.
The proceeds of the 6th Annual Help Lauren Learn Golf Tournament will benefit the unique educational needs of Lauren. She requires services from specially trained professional interveners and their services must be paid for out of privately raised funds. Laurens hard work and joyous spirit have brought her and her family nationwide notoriety.
The tournament will be held at Kingwood Country Club with a Shotgun Start - Scramble format. Tee time will be at 1pm. Lunch will be provided at registration beginning at 11:30am.
Golfers can compete in the putting contest, the long drive contest, and the closet to the pin contest. Following the tradition of past tournaments, a wide assortment of raffle prizes will also be available.
The registration for each golfer is $150 per golfer and $500 per foursome which includes lunch, dinner, and on-course refreshments.
