Tournament Descripion

Kathy Tinley Payne was an employee of Willis for over eight years. During that time she fought courageous battles with lung and brain cancer with grace and dignity. Unfortunately, Kathy lost her battle on November 8, 2010. She was a devoted mother to four sons, three daughters in laws and was a beloved grandmother to 10 grandchildren. We invite you to participate in the 3rd Annual Kathy Tinley Payne Memorial Golf Tournament. The Willis Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to charitable giving at a local level. Founded on the premise that locally based philanthropy and volunteerism can strengthen communities, the Foundation works with Willis Associates to identify nonprofit organizations to support. For the second year in a row, we have decided to support the work of the Women’s Center for Advancement’s (formerly YWCA). The Women’s Center for Advancement (WCA) works with domestic violence and sexual assault victims and the critical needs resulting from the violence. During the past year, the WCA answered over 3,200 cries for help through its hotline and provided safety and emotional support services for over 6000 people in the Omaha metro area. Other WCA programs meet women in nearly every circumstance, and in every corner of this community. Parenting classes, crisis counseling, free legal services…just to name a few, are some of the programs your sponsorship will support.

Reason For Event: Honor an employee that passed away from cancer and proceeds are donated to the Womens Center for Advancement
