When it comes to golfing in Vermont especially if you are a competitor there are several tournaments available. For example the Vermont Four-Ball Championship, Vermont Open Championship just to name a few. Whether you are an amateur or professional you will find a Vermont golf tournament suitable for you.

The annual Vermont Husband-Wife Tournament is held at the Orleans Country Club. Usually taking place in the month of July husband and wife teams can compete against other married couples. If you are a woman seeking to enter into your own tournament without a spouse or partner, the New England women's championship is held in Killington, Vermont, at the Green Mountain National also during the month of July.

If you are new to the game and do not have much experience in competing the Vermont Mid Amateur Championship is held at the Vermont National Country Club in South Burlington. It is usually held around late August. Another popular tournament for amateurs is the VGA or Vermont Amateur Championship, held at the Manchester Country Club in the summer when the weather is sure to be very nice.

For seniors there are many chances to participate in a Vermont golf tournament. One of the most popular is the Vermont Senior Open Championship played at the end of August. This competition in is generally played in West Dover at the famed Mount Snow Golf Club. Also catering to senior citizens is the Senior Four Ball championship. The tournament is played during the summertime, be sure to mark a calendar when planning your trip if a player is willing to participate, at Brattleboro Country Club.
