From the PGA tour to the Junior LPGA tournament in North Plains, there is a competition for virtually every golfer of every class when playing in a Kansas golf tournament. Each tournament offers its own unique style and challenge to the contestant. From long fairways to seemingly impossible switchbacks, the best in effort is required from each and every golfer.

For many golfers, the Kansas Golf Association is their means of competition. The 2010 schedule includes a Mid-Amateur Championship, Senior Four-Ball, Public Links, Juniors and the KGF Team Championship. Of course there is the Kansas Golf Tournament. Golfers from each skill level and every style enter these tournaments, in hopes to take home the cup.

Kansas offers its own style and flare to the golf world. With it's green surroundings and gentle climate, golfing is best enjoyed during the spring, summer, and fall. The MacDonald Golf Course in Wichita offers a challenging course set deeply in tall grass. Gentle, rolling hills and tall trees will greet you at the Shawnee Golf Club in Topeka. As well you'll find challenging water hazards at the Lake Quivira Golf Course. No matter which course you choose in Kansas (hundreds are available), tournaments for every golfer are waiting to be entered.

Located in the heart of America Kansas attracts golfers regularly from Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma and even Texas. During larger tournaments golfers from all over the world will fly in for their chance at the large purses offered, particularly when the Kansas Golf Tournament is held. Kansas is an up-and-coming golfing destination, with enough courses to keep even the most particular of duffers content.
